Editorial design “Minnen i sömmarna”
Brief: Develop, conceive, and print a magazine centered around a subject you're enthusiastic about or adore. At least 44 pages required. Must feature interviews, articles, and a table of contents.
For this project, I created a magazine (80 pages) dedicated to my beloved grandmother and her remarkable sense of style with a focus on women's fashion history. With immense love for her and a desire to preserve her memories, I decided to recreate all the beautiful outfits she had worn throughout her life, capturing the essence of each era. Working alongside my sisters and mother, we meticulously sourced through her garments and accessories, striving to genuinely portray the evolving trends from the 1960s to the early 21st century. I examined all her photo collections, and we recreated her lovely outfits using the garments she preserved to this day, and captured new images of us dressed in them.
This magazine is not only a tribute to my grandmother but also a celebration of women's fashion history, as we weave together her life story with the broader narrative of changing styles and influences that have shaped generations of women. Through captivating visuals and engaging narratives, the content of this magazine come alive with the vibrant colors, textures, and designs that adorned my grandmother's wardrobe.
